Medical Assistant - Associate of Science College Degree
The Medical Assistant Associate of Science degree program will prepare the student to perform multi-skilled tasks in primarily ambulatory settings such as physician’s offices, clinics and related medical facilities. Medical Assistants function as members of the health-care delivery team and perform administrative and clinical procedures. In addition, the program includes courses in general education that will broaden the cultural background of the student. Graduation is acknowledged by awarding an Associate of Science degree upon satisfactory completion of the program. After completion of this program, the student is encouraged to take the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) exam for certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Graduates also qualify to take the American Medical Technologist exam for certification as a Registered Medical Assistant or the National Center for Competency Testing exam for certification as a National Certified Medical Assistant.

Medical Billing Specialist - Associate of Science College Degree
The Medical Billing Specialist Associate of Science degree program prepares individuals responsible for entry-level positions in a wide variety of health care institutions ranging from health maintenance organizations, physician offices, group practices, and government or insurance organizations. The curriculum provides business and medical skills through management, computer applications software, administrative and medical courses. This program also includes courses in general education that will broaden the cultural background of the student. Graduation is acknowledged by awarding an Associate of Science degree upon satisfactory completion of the program. Certification is available through the National Center for Competency Testing.

Medical Office Administration - Associate of Science College Degree
This program develops the medical and administrative office skills necessary for employment in a doctor’s office, health care facility or other medically related company. Graduates are capable of working in the front office and as permitted may assist in the back office. In addition, the program gives students the flexibility of working in a general business office as well. This program also includes courses in general education that will broaden the cultural background of the student. Graduation is acknowledged by awarding an Associate of Science degree upon satisfactory completion of the program. Certification is available through the National Center for Competency Testing.

Medical Assistant - Diploma
This four and a half quarter curriculum will prepare students to perform multi-skilled tasks in primarily ambulatory settings such as medical offices and clinics. Medical Assistants function as members of the health-care delivery team and perform administrative and clinical procedures. Health Care Technician - Certificate
This two-quarter curriculum will prepare students to function as a direct caregiver and as a member of the patient care team. Skills such as assisting patients with activities of daily living, taking vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, catherization, wound care and dressing changes and assisting with life-sustaining procedures, including CPR, are taught. Employment may be obtained in hospitals, nursing homes or other medical facilities. In addition, in order to be certified by Kerr, a student must satisfactorily pass a state exam as well as complete the program.
